Inspired by pastoral landscapes and traditional scenic painting. The goal was to create the illusion of stepping into a tranquil countryside, bringing the outside in. Nature was chosen as the central theme for its timelessness, serenity, and ability to soften architectural boundaries.
Hand-painted trees of varying scales were used to frame the space, creating depth and rhythm along the stairwell walls.
Subtle layers of green hills extend into the distance, expanding the perceived space and adding a sense of journey as one ascends or descends the stairs.
Delicate plants and flowers at the base add intimacy and balance, drawing the eye downward and anchoring the design.
A soft, muted scheme of greens, ochres, and warm neutrals harmonizes with the existing decor while enhancing light reflection.
The finished mural evokes a peaceful woodland, blending realism with painterly impression.
The mural transforms the stairwell and landing into an immersive environment. The hand-painted trees and landscapes extend the boundaries of the space, making the narrow passage feel expansive and inviting. The work achieves both decorative elegance and atmospheric depth, elevating the everyday experience of moving through the home.
